1998 Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs reserve grade player jersey (3XL)
Just after the end of the Super League War, teams that united back to the NRL maintained their Nike SL designs for the following year, even down to their reserve grade squads.
This very simple and bold Doggies design was so iconic that it became the foundation of all Canterbury home Jerseys until reverting to more traditional chevrons in 2013.
With the NSWRL badge on the front and the no.9 on the back, this was a Hookers jersey for the 98 reserve grade season. It's a pretty cool and rare bit of gear and sure to turn heads on game days or at magic round.
The only real knock on it is that one of the Cenovis sleeves is lifting off a bit, but thats the kind of wear you'd expect from a players kit.
Made by Nike this jersey is marked as a XL but measures 67cm across the chest (pit to pit), making it more like a modern 3-4XL. However these jerseys were designed to be oversized and worn baggy to increase airflow.
